PEĆ — A bus carrying Serbs from the central Serbian town of Kraljevo to the Peć Patriarchate monastery was stoned early on Sunday in the vicinity of the monastery.
Driver Aleksandar Ćirović told Tanjug the vehicle was damaged but that none of the 36 passengers were injured.
“We were under police escort when a stone hit the upper part of the windshield,” he stated, adding that the incident happened some 600-700 meters from the monastery.
According to him, the incident was reported to the police.
Kosovo police Spokesman Zeqir Kelmendi told Tanjug the incident had been reported and an investigation opened.
Kelmendi noted the attack was reported around 7:30 CET but that the location of the incident had not been specified.
No suspects have been identified yet.
