A joint session of representatives of three municipalities, Kosovska Mitrovica, Leposavic and Zvecan, ended today in Leposavic, because the councilors of the municipality of Zubin Potok not show up, and it was agreed that each individual municipality considers a temporary agreement.

As a journalist KIM Radio reports, the joint session has been postponed for formal reasons, since the members of the Zubin Potok did not show up.

In addition to postpone session the present presidents of the three municipalities have agreed to each hold a separate session where board members would present views on the current situation and on the agreement between Belgrade and KFOR. They announced  the maintaining of a joint session of which the public will be informed later.

Representatives of opposition parties and their supporters are of the opinion that there was no reason for the cancellation of today’s meeting. Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS)  prior to the meeting in Leposavic shared the pamphlets condemning the agreement of Belgrade with representatives of KFOR, and leader of the Serbian National Council of Northern Kosovo, Milan Ivanovic said that “the settlement agreement legalizes Thaci’s custom  in the north because there is no import of goods from Serbia “.

It was expected that representatives of Serbs in northern Kosovo in the meeting in Leposavic accept the reached agreement with KFOR and remove the barricades, which would help that, after two weeks of the crisis in northern Kosovo, the situation should calm down.

With the barricades in place of Zupce near Zubin Potok and near Leposavic, the Serbs for the 15th day are on the barricades in place Rudare near Zvecan.
